Pray One for Another

I recently volunteered to pray for the prayer requests of a well-known ministry.  The first email, I was so overwhelmed by all the needs of those needing prayer, life & death situations,  that I spent the 1st day crying out to God HOW CAN ONE EFFECTIVELY PRAY FOR ALL THESE PEOPLE?.  I'm the type of person who will pray for someone, usually someone ...I know or linked to someone I know...until the prayer is answered.  I'm told that an intercessor is someone who will pray until they sense the need has been answered or see it answered.  So that's makes me an intercessor.   But these were people I didn't know.  The second day I opened up to 3 John 2 but was directed to verse 5 & 6: Dear Friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to you.  They have told the church about your love.   It was as if God said 'even though I don't know these brothers & sisters in the Lord, that my faithfulness to pray is true love.

I started thinking about how my grandmother, mother and my friend Joan taught me to pray, by example, and I had an idea for this prayer group, LET THERE BE LIGHT.  When Light comes, the Light of Jesus, it drives out darkness, whether it be sickness, poverty, accidents, lack, mental illness, whatever, darkness cannot stay when THE LIGHT is turned on.  So many people don't pray because they don't know how, maybe you didn't have the fine examples I've had.  So I started this prayer group with the intention of each person knowing they are specifically prayed for by individual prayer.

This is how it works, if you post a prayer request, you are saying you will commit to pray for the prayer request listed above you like you would want the person posting below you to pray for you.  If you want someone to pray 5 minutes, then you will sow 5 minutes.  But if you want that person below you to pray sincerely for you, then you are committing to give your time and energy to pray for that person above you.  For example, person A lists he/she needs a job.  You post your prayer request for healing.  You commit to pray for person 'A' and person 'C' commits to pray for you; person B.   This way eventually the whole world will be covered in prayer and individual specific prayer.   http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1040426784&ref=ts#!/home.php?sk=group_182834015075585&view=doc&id=182890611736592

Each of you is special and deserves to be brought before the throne of God in prayer by name.   This way, no one person is so overwhelmed and inundated with thousands of prayer requests that they cannot individually call each of you by name.   I'm very excited about his group and that each person will individually be brought BY NAME before the throne of God.   You don't have to be rocket scientist to say - Jesus, I give you (person's name) who needs your help.   If your request is confidential, remember names can be changed to protect the innocent, but God knows who the person is.
